today was my first mother's day and i have to say, what a fine holiday it is.
last year at this time, i was pregnant. i remember feeling dizzy when i thought about having a child. it's one of those mysterious thresholds you wait for all your life, and then one day, you slip across and...though you have to get your bearings again, re-acclimate, make adjustments...you're still mostly the same. actually a lot better.
